Stephen Amell Reveals Warner Bros. ‘Killed’ A Green Arrow Movie

Could the Arrowverse have finally made its way to the silver screen? Stephen Amell confirms canceled plans for a Green Arrow film by Warner Bros.

However, given how popular the Arrowverse was, especially among DC fans struggling to find consistent media of their favorite characters, it’s a shock that Stephen Amell never got at least a direct to TV movie. “I mean I joked about it because I think that it would be wonderful one these days to go back and do something that was in a medium where I could break bones and drop an F-bomb and just sort of go the ‘hard R’ [rating] version of Arrow.” Given how restrained the Arrowverse had to be due to the guidelines of the CW, and how far Arrow pushed that envelope in some of its earlier seasons, it would be interesting to see what Stephen Amell and the creative team could do with the budget of a feature film.
