Steph McGovern's new career move after TV show axing

Steph McGovern has announced a new career move after Channel 4 axed her talk show Packed Lunch after three years, which saw her break down in tears during the last ever episode

At the Theakston Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, the broadcaster announced that she has penned a novel, according to The Sun. Writing it has allowed me to spend the last few years secretly living in a parallel universe where the high-pressure, high-profile environments I've worked in, and the colourful characters I've encountered along the way, have all contributed to my own dark tale of power, corruption, and lies." A statement from Channel 4 said: “Steph has not only made the nation’s lunchtimes more entertaining and brilliantly reflected the views and pre-occupations of the country, but the show has also been an outstanding springboard for developing local talent behind the scenes.
