Stars’ Wildest On-Set Demands! Joan Crawford, Liza Minnelli and More Stars With Ridiculous Requests


From bottles of Pepsi to cigarettes to peach-colored toilet paper, stars like Joan Crawford, Liza Minelli and more had some of the wildest on-set demands.

To shoot an ad for Pine Brothers cough drops, Liza reportedly demanded two cartons of cigarettes, six cases of Bai antioxidant drink, black Egyptian cotton towels and a $400 coffee service. For his 2013 space drama Gravity, George’s out-of-this-world contract supposedly included a clause that his trailer be attached to a private beach hut featuring a hot tub, decking area, basketball court and peaceful landscaped garden. As the wife of Pepsi-Cola chairman Alfred Steele and the company’s spokesperson, the Oscar winner wanted bottles of Pepsi on full display during any photo ops and dispensed on all her sets — including 1962’s What Ever Happened to Baby Jane.
