Since the start of 2024, the world has seen a number of shocking and unexpected deaths of much-loved celebrities – along with the loss of some seasoned veterans of the entertainment industry, as they sadly succumbed to the passage of time. Following a long battle with the after-effects of catching covid, Kate Garraway’s husband Derek Draper sadly lost his fight with the brutal illness on 5 January, leaving behind his devastated wife and children. In a statement, his talent agency, Scott Marshall Partners, said: "It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved client, Richard Howard, at the age of 79, after a short illness.
