Star Wars alum Jake Lloyd feeling 'pretty good' after hitting 'rock bottom' with mental health struggles


The 35-year-old former child star has had a long, bumpy road to recovery since being diagnosed with schizophrenia, at age 19, in 2008 - which caused him to hear voices and act erratically

Before retiring from acting, at age 12, in 2001 - Lloyd famously portrayed young Anakin Skywalker in George Lucas' dismally-reviewed 1999 prequel Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, which amassed $1.047B at the global box office. Jake also memorably played Arnold Schwarzenegger's onscreen son Jamie Langston in Brian Levant's dismally-reviewed 1996 Christmas comedy Jingle All the Way, which earned $129.8M at the global box office. Before retiring from acting, at age 12, in 2001 - the former Pac Sun staffer famously portrayed young Anakin Skywalker in George Lucas' dismally-reviewed 1999 prequel Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, which amassed $1.047B at the global box office
