Someone else tweeted: "Waking up to the shocking news that Dhammika Niroshan, who captained Sri Lanka in ICC Under-19 World Cup in New Zealand in 2002 has been shot dead in Ambalangoda. Dhammika made his Sri Lanka's U19 team debut in 2000 and was quickly known to score runs and take wickets, with his talents evident during his U19 Test matches and One-Day Internationals.
