Spider-Man ‘Noir’ Starring Nicolas Cage Gets Amazon Series Order
MGM+ and Prime Video have handed a series order to Noir, a live-action series based on Marvel comic Spider-Man Noir, with Nicolas Cage set to star.
The series, which has been in development since last year, comes from Oren Uziel ( The Lost City, 22 Jump Street) and Steve Lightfoot ( Marvel’s The Punisher, Shantaram), who will serve as co-showrunners and executive producers. Uziel and Lightfoot developed the series with the Oscar-winning team behind Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse: Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal, who will also serve as executive producers. “Expanding the Marvel universe with Noir is a uniquely special opportunity and we are honored to bring this series to our global Prime Video customers,” said Vernon Sanders, head of television, Amazon MGM Studios.
