Special report - Inside the mind of Brianna Ghey’s child killers - psychologists speak out
Two leading psychologists claim that upbringing and online influences can play a huge part in how a young would-be murderer behaves and one offers a stark warning for parents
"It’s still very rare for children to commit acts of violence, never mind murder, and that’s why it hits the media because it is an unusual event," explains forensic psychologist Dr Keri Nixon. Given the changes that occur during adolescence, Dr Holmes also warns that unique developmental factors associated with being a teenager could make that age group particularly “at risk” of killing other young people.
