Soulja Boy has been ordered to pay more than $4 million in damages after being found liable for sexual battery, assault, and other other claims brought by a former assistant in a civil lawsuit.
Soulja Boy has been found liable for assault, sexual battery, and a number of other claims in a civil lawsuit brought by a former personal assistant and romantic partner. Doe alleged that Way once locked her in a room for approximately three days, and was responsible for "numerous and serious physical and sexual injuries causing [her] to fear for her life" between January 2019 and December 2020. Doe accused Way of negligence, sexual battery, assault, false imprisonment, intentional infliction of emotional distress, gender violence, theft, hostile work environment, constructive discharge in violation of the Fair Employment and Housing Act, failure to pay minimum wage, unpaid overtime, unpaid reimbursements, waiting time penalties, inaccurate wage statements, and unfair competition.
