Sophie Wessex denies she's 'brave' for royal visit to Ukraine

The Duchess of Edinburgh has opened up about her recent trip to Ukraine after dismissing claims she was 'brave' for visiting the war-torn country following Russia's invasion

She recounted previous visits to South Sudan, Kosovo, Iraq, Colombia, Ethiopia, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, aiming to shine a light on and bolster support for survivors of conflict-related sexual violence. Despite being in Ukraine in an official capacity representing the Crown, Sophie was quick to stress that she didn't want any recognition for her actions, but instead hoped that efforts could be focused on survivors and resources to assist them.
