Sophie Nyweide's Friend Said Late Actress Had 'Hope' to Survive Addiction

Sophie Nyweide’s friend, Eden Herlihy, opened up about the late child star’s struggles with addiction and her tragic passing at age 24

“She had hope … I’ve lost a lot of people to addiction sadly,” Herlihy said in an interview with TMZ on Friday, April 25. While Herlihy and Nyweide experienced loss due to addiction, she never thought that the former child star would meet the same fate. Officials in Bennington, Vermont, confirmed that Nyweide’s body was found on April 14 in a wooded area along the banks of the Roaring Branch River.
