Ellis-Bextor has enjoyed a very busy few months after the final scene of Emerald Fennell’s Saltburn helped catapult “Murder on the Dancefloor” — originally released in 2001 — back onto the charts. Ellis-Bextor recently got the opportunity to make her U.S. television debut, performing “Murder on the Dancefloor” with the Roots on The Tonight Show earlier this month. In an interview with the BBC back in January, Ellix-Bextor said the “Murder on the Dancefloor” resurgence felt “really magical” and “extraordinary,” adding: “It’s a song I’ve been singing for over 20 years.
