Sony is going with their co-production of Mamoru Hosoda ‘s Scarlet on Dec. 12 this year, joining 20th Century Studios’ James L. Brooks movie Ella McKay and Focus Features’ Chloe Zhao movie Hamnet. Sony Pictures is also co-financing the highly anticipated new animated film from the Oscar nominated filmmaker of Mirai with Studio CHIZU and Nippon TV. Sony is handling global on Scarlet except for Japan which is being released by Toho Producers are Yuichiro Saito (Studio CHIZU), Toshimi Tanio (Nippon TV), Nozomu Takahashi (Studio CHIZU).
