Fans were shocked when the recent trailer for Venom: The Last Dance revealed that Knull, God of Darkness and progenitor of the symbiote race, would be playing the film’s true villain. Given Venom: The Last Dance is a Sony Pictures production, fans understandably assume that Andy Serkis’ involvement as Knull will be in a throwaway post-credits scene that will amount to nothing when the film flops. If Venom: The Last Dance is only around to establish Andy Serkis as Knull, it’s likely baked into his contract that he would return to voice the villain in whatever they plan to do with the character next.
