The Sony/Blumhouse Insidious pic, to be released by Screen Gems, is the sixth entry in the horror franchise and comes in the wake of 2023’s Insidious: The Red Door, which marked franchise star Patrick Wilson’s feature directorial debut and grossed $198 million worldwide. Instead, that 2025 date is now being taken by Caught Stealing, which was adapted by Charlie Huston from his book series and centers on Hank Thompson (Butler), a burned-out former baseball player who’s unwittingly plunged into a wild fight for survival in the downtown criminal underworld of ‘90s New York City.
