Sony Pictures Entertainment Names Tahra Grant Chief Communications Officer, Succeeding Bob Lawson
Sony Pictures Entertainment has promoted Tahra Grant to chief communications officer in the wake of longtime leader Bob Lawson being elevated.
During that time, Grant has reported to Lawson, who will now be based in Tokyo, making for an easy transition within the company upon her taking the reins. At Sony Pictures, she has streamlined and sharpened the MPG corporate communications operation, driving crisis and issues management, advancing leadership strategies, and overseeing all film announcements skillfully. With her strong relationships and partnership with Tom Rothman and our MPG leadership, Tahra has strengthened the narrative around the vitality, sustainability, and forward-looking strategies of our motion picture business, while navigating some of the most complicated industry events of our time, including the COVID pandemic and the historic double strikes last year.
