Sony Future Filmmaker Awards Will Honor Up-and-Coming Creators
The second annual Sony Future Filmmaker Awards is set to honor up-and-coming creators.
Over four days, the selected filmmakers were also invited to participate in an industry immersion workshop led by Sony Pictures execs that covered topics from pitching to legal to working with talent agencies and using cutting-edge technologies. “The Other Boleyn Girl” director Justin Chadwick and cinematographers Rob Hardy (“Civil War”) and Kate Reid (“Game of Thrones”) are among the judges. Chadwick, who also chaired last year’s selection of films, added words of advice for aspiring filmmakers, including those who didn’t make the shortlist.
