Sony Dates ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ For Summer 2025
The 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' sequel in the works from Sony has locked in a release date for summer 2025, Deadline has learned.
Scripted by Leah McKendrick ( Scrambled), the film’s plot is under wraps for now, but stars Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle Gellar are expected to return. Launching the careers of Hewitt, Prinze, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Ryan Phillippe, the franchise kicked off with 1997’s I Know What You Did Last Summer, which introduced viewers to four friends who’ve accidentally run over a pedestrian while driving on a coastal road one night. In their panic, they decide to dispose of the body in the ocean and vow never to speak of the incident again.
