Soleil Moon Frye says her son Lyric, 10, calls her Punky after watching 'Punky Brewster' for the first time, saying "there was no stopping him."
At the Back to School panel at Rhode Island Comic Con on Nov. 2, the actress, 48, spoke about her time on the show Punky Brewster, noting that when her 10-year-old son Lyric watched the show for the first time, he had a hilarious reaction to seeing his mom on screen. "My 10-year-old, when he finally learned about Punky, he was watching old episodes," Frye, who played the titular character in the popular show, shared. Frye is mom to daughters Poet, 19, and Jagger, 16, and sons Lyric and Story, 8, whom she shares with ex-husband Jason Goldberg, The two split in 2020 after 22 years of marriage.
