“It has been remarkable to see the fanhood and passion for women’s soccer grow all over the globe, and especially in the U.S., even just over the past few years,” Mewis told Deadline Friday. While sports will of course be the focus of the vertical, other issues such as equal pay, the battle for which Mewis was an outspoken advocate, are expected to come to the fore.
