Thankfully, the honeymoon period doesn’t last long when the date takes a dark turn and Dean reveals his true colours. When Tracy hires the ex-Weatherfield striker (seemingly, their only player ever until James Bailey arrived) to do some decorating, it’s a fresh lick of paint amid the doom and gloom. Chas’s kiss with Liam barely had time to dry before things turned sour when he found a lump in her breast, and at the hospital it’s bad news when she receives a cancer diagnosis.
