We all knew that Beyoncé, Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift would do very well – and they did, each receiving nominations for album, record and song of the year. ( New Blue Sun includes one of the longest nominated song titles in Grammy history — “I Swear, I Really Wanted to Make a ‘Rap’ Album But This Is Literally The Way The Wind Blew Me This Time,” which is a finalist for best instrumental composition.) Its best new artist nomination is considered a surprise because such higher-profile acts as Megan Moroney, Dasha and Tommy Richman fell short.
