Snow fears tonight as Met Office issue warning


The Met Office has issued yellow weather warnings for snow and ice for a large swathe of the UK as the wintry weather sweeps across the nation in the next 24-hours

Surprisingly, the south of England may also get a dusting, as "be aware" yellow warnings went live at about 4pm and will continue until Tuesday (19 November) morning at approximately 10am. The Met Office have predicted snow could fall as soon as tonight (17 November) (Image: Met Office)The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) is keeping vigilant, having sent out a Cold Health Alert for much of England, lasting until Thursday, indicating NHS services might face increased pressure. A friendly phone call or an offer to help with shopping, collecting prescriptions or de-icing paths could be a lifeline for someone who feels isolated at home during this cold spell."
