Ego Nwodim joined Ben Marshall, John Higgins, and Martin Herlihy as coaches on the fictitious show The Sound. Nwodim played R&B model Coco Summers, Higgins was pop producer Mikey Fiesta Marshall was country swinger Cody Swiggums, and Herlihy played rock icon Eddie Thrashhorn in the bit that employed the requisite revolving chairs and red buttons. The foursome were immediately bowled over when they hear an angelic version of “Amazing Grace” — only to turn around to find Shane Gillis as a red-haired, scooter-driving hillbilly named Reggie doing the singing.
