Small-Town Indian Comedy ‘Dupahiya’ Rides to Prime Video (EXCLUSIVE)

Prime Video is revving up its Indian originals slate with 'Dupahiya,' a heartland comedy series that blends small-town charm with a quirky caper.

The nine-episode series, which marks the debut production from Bombay Film Cartel banner, follows the mayhem that erupts in the fictional village of Dhadakpur when a prized motorcycle goes missing just as the community is about to celebrate 25 years of being crime-free. Salona Bains Joshi and Shubh Shivdasani serve as creators and executive producers under their Bombay Film Cartel banner, with the script penned by Avinash Dwivedi and Chirag Garg. Director Nair describes the series as “a celebration of humor, chaos, and the quirks of small-town life,” while creators Joshi and Shivdasani underline its focus on “family, fun and the universal dreams of everyday people.”
