Sleater-Kinney previewed 'Little Rope Deluxe,' out next month, with the new single "Here Today."
It’s paired with a black-and-white video of Los Angeles guerrilla projections — made by activist art collective In Decline — as the lyrics flash across the screen: “You are on the dirty streets/While I sit on heated seats/Pretend we’re not both occupants/Of a world that’s gone insane.” “We’re excited to share ‘Here Today’ with you,” Carrie Brownstein and Corin Tucker said in a statement. Last fall, Brownstein and Tucker spoke with Rolling Stone about Little Rope, an album that was created during a time of tragedy and grief, as Brownstein lost her mother and stepfather in a deadly car crash.
