Skylar Astin Once Asked Name Twin Sean Astin for a Selfie
Skylar Astin recalls finally meeting — and asking for a selfie with — his name twin Sean Astin in his Just Like Us feature
“When Stranger Things was out with Sean Astin, [I saw him] in New York and I was like, ‘I have to do it,’ because everyone asks me if we’re related,” Skylar, 37, reveals in his Just Like Us feature in the latest issue of Us Weekly, on newsstands now. “I would say [the comparisons are] the bane of my existence, but it’s also an honor to be compared to him and his legendary family,” Skylar told Us last month ahead of Skate For LA Strong, a celebration to support fire recovery efforts in Los Angeles. Saturday Night Live star Bowen Yang has had his fair share of celeb encounters at the iconic sketch show, but one potential appearance got him riled up.
