Sky News' Kay Burley left 'covered in blood' after suffering chilling health scare

Sky News presenter Kay Burley has opened up about a terrifying health incident that left her "covered in blood" at her home, and her doctor gave her a stark warning

In a candid June interview with The Times, the 64 year old broadcaster described beginning her routine at 3.17am before her 7am to 10am show, and prior to exiting her upmarket Knightsbridge flat for the Sky studios in Millbank, revealed her method of flicking on all the lights to safely elevate her blood pressure, reports the Mirror. She shared the harrowing details: "The sitting up, taking a breath and putting all the lights on is very, very important because last year I jumped out of bed and, next thing, I woke up covered in blood on the bathroom floor." News by its very nature is often devastating and together we’ve covered so many life-changing events – from the tragic death of Diana, the shocking terror attack of 9/11, the Asian tsunami, the Concorde air disaster.
