A Sky News journalist was forcibly removed from an event at which UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak launched the Conservative election campaign. McCaffrey told Sky News viewers that he was being ejected because there were “pool arrangements in place,” meaning the event was already being filmed for a group of UK broadcasters. He called the election at Downing Street earlier on Wednesday, but was drenched by rain and his speech was drowned out by a protester blasting D:Ream hit Things Can Only Get Better.
