Skoop Media Licenses Crime Series ‘Mocro Maffia’ to Germany and Belgium: ‘Phenomenon in Its Own Right’ (EXCLUSIVE)
Amsterdam-based Skoop Media has sold crime series ‘Mocro Maffia,’ created by Achmed Akkabi, to Germany and Belgium.
RTL+ Germany has acquired exclusive rights to the Dutch hit crime series “Mocro Maffia: Gangs of Amsterdam” from Amsterdam-based distributor Skoop Media for its streaming platform. “It’s part of the trend of local crime dramas gaining global popularity, as it delivers the kind of intense, character-driven narratives that resonate with audiences worldwide.”In its final season, “unexpected alliances” start to form as characters face betrayals, personal tragedies and “the challenge of keeping their empires intact.” “The dramatic intensity and high stakes make this a darker and more complex continuation of the story, promising the same thrilling action, philosophical dept and emotional turmoil that have made the series a standout, while also exploring new avenues in the ever-evolving world of Amsterdam’s crime scene,” noted Pim van Collem.
