Sir Rod Stewart and Jools Holland reach No 1 in Official UK Album Chart with their hit new record Swing Fever

Sir Rod Stewart and Jools Holland are set to top the Official Album Charts for the first time as a duo this week following the success of their new album Swing Fever.

The 79-year-old singer and his piano playing pal Jools, 66, have been busy promoting their 13-track collaboration record, which was released on Friday. The singer and Jools both appeared on the show to promote Swing Fever and took to the stage to perform their cover of Billie Holiday's 1936 song Pennies from Heaven. Rod then started singing and clapping as he gave an impromptu performance of Lullaby On Broadway with the studio audience, Jools, Jimmy, and house band The Roots joining him.
