Sir Ian McKellen pulls out of Player Kings national tour following his fall


Sir Ian McKellen has shared that he won't be taking part in the touring version of Player Kings after injuring himself by falling off stage

News Sir Ian McKellen has been forced to withdraw from the touring production of Player Kings, he has announced. But I can assure them that, with David Semark now playing Falstaff, Robert Icke’s production and his acting company remain as dazzling as ever. A statement from the production company added: “Following Ian McKellen’s injury during the West End run of Player Kings, his doctors’ advice is to take time off from work in order to fully recover.
