Sir Elton John, 76, left with limited vision in one eye after battling a 'severe infection'


The Rocket Man hitmaker, 76, who played his final shows last summer, explained how he has spent the past few months 'recuperating at home' following an infection.

Elton concluded: 'I have been quietly spending the summer recuperating at home, and am feeling positive about the progress I have made in my healing and recovery thus far.' As the publication spoke to his husband David Furnish at the 32nd annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscars viewing party, he revealed the pair are always thinking about it. The music legend performed a medley of his greatest hits after mingling with the stars in attendance including Elizabeth Hurley, Heidi Klum and Julia Fox.
