Sir Elton John is 'working on top secret new music' set to be released before the end of the year - just seven months after he retired from performing live
The music icon, 76, retired from touring in summer 2023, taking to Glastonbury's famous Pyramid stage for the final UK show of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour.
'Elton will still have a Rocket Hour radio show on Apple Music and finger is very much still on the pulse; he just wants to slow down a bit and spend the time with his family but the new album is coming.' But despite the monumental accomplishment, Elton wasn't there in person in Los Angeles to accept the award, as he had to sit out the show due to his recent knee surgery - after sustaining an injury during a fall while holidaying in France. The iconic musician, 76, tearfully took to the festival's famous Pyramid stage the previous evening for the final UK show of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour
