Sir Chris Hoy’s wife diagnosed with incurable disease as Olympian reveals ‘terminal’ cancer

As Sir Chris Hoy grapples with the diagnosis of his cancer, which has left him with just years to live, the Olympian has been dealt another blow as his wife has been diagnosed with MS.

Elsewhere in his book, Chris shares that his wife Sarra was then given the diagnosis of an 'aggressive' form of MS after her GP ordered a scan to investigate a tingling sensation in her tongue and face. Chris writes: "Another scan just before Christmas confirmed that Sarra had “very active and aggressive” MS and needed urgent treatment. Chris - who was a pundit for the BBC covering the Paris 2024 Olympics in the summer- has been married to Sarra since 2010, with the couple meeting two years prior.
