Simon Cowell, who formed Liam Payne's band One Direction, postponed auditions for his show 'Britain’s Got Talent' after the singer's sudden passing
Cowell went on to help form the popular boy band One Direction that same year, which consisted of Payne, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik. News broke on Wednesday, October 16, that Payne died at age 31 due to sustaining injuries after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires. Payne rose to fame as a member of British boy band One Direction alongside Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik.
