Simon Cowell has revealed that his search for 'the next One Direction' will include a 'never-before-seen' format, after a disappointing turnout for the first round of auditions.

It was reported on Friday that bosses have widened their search, and have placed an ad on the showbiz job site StarNow in a bid to attract more applicants, with Simon also inviting transgender men to apply. Simon finally kicked off his nationwide search to find the UK's next big boyband last week, but saw just a handful of hopefuls turn up to auditions in Liverpool. However, after the first round of auditions in Liverpool failed to draw a crowd, sources said that bosses have widened their search, and have placed an ad on the showbiz job site StarNow
