Studios is adding to its Western portfolio with “Guns of Redemption,” a gritty frontier drama featuring a cast led by Casper Van Dien, Jeff Fahey and Sean Astin. The revenge-fueled tale centers on Luke (Van Dien), a scarred Civil War veteran seeking peace, who is forced to strap on his guns one final time after being left for dead. Studios include nabbing worldwide rights (excluding select Asian territories) to the coveted Golden Princess movie library, a treasure trove of 156 Hong Kong cinema classics that’s been MIA from Western markets for decades; and an agreement with Mercury Studios Media Limited to license exclusive U.S. and Canadian distribution rights including AVOD, SVOD, broadcast, theatrical and non-theatrical distribution rights for a catalog of Monty Python films, specials and performances.
