The 42-year-old rapper, who is currently serving a decade-long sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion almost five years ago, was brutally ambushed by another inmate on May 12 at the California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi. It comes after a chilling 39-second clip emerged on Wednesday showing Lanez stepping out of a cell and pausing near a staircase when the attacker, identified by The Shade Room as Santino Casio, suddenly charges at him. In August of 2023, Lanez received a 10-year prison sentence in Los Angeles Superior Court Tuesday, in connection with three felony convictions in the July 2020 incident in the Hollywood Hills.
