Shirlie Kemp on endometriosis battle ‘worse than labour’ that left her ‘bedridden’

Shirlie Kemp revealed in 2023 the dismissive comments she received from a male doctor about her agonising endometriosis.

Singer Shirlie, appears as a guest on Interior Design Masters with Alan Carr this weekend (November 17). After struggling without a diagnosis for years, Shirlie revealed that giving birth to her first child with husband Martin Kemp – daughter Harley Moon – was a breeze compared to what she’d been experiencing. The 62-year-old star felt great relief at finally having a diagnosis for the condition that had left her “bedridden” with “horrendous pain” from periods since the age of 16.
