Shetland series nine date confirmed with gripping new case for DI Ruth Calder
The BBC has confirmed when the ninth series of Shetland will air and there's not long to go until viewers are reunited with DI Ruth Calder and DS Alison 'Tosh' McIntosh.
The plot thickens as the synopsis reveals: "They discover accountant Annie is estranged from her husband, Ian, and has been staying with mussel farmer John Harris and his two sons, Patrick and Fergus. BBC viewers will also see Steven Robertson as DC Sandy Wilson, Lewis Howden as Sgt Billy McCabe and Anne Kidd as Cora McLean in the show.
