Sheryl Lee Ralph, Holly Robinson Peete and LeVar Burton Join Al Roker’s ‘Weather Hunters’ Animated Series (EXCLUSIVE)
Sheryl Lee Ralph, Holly Robinson Peete and LeVar Burton have joined the voice cast of Al Roker's animated series for PBS Kids, 'Weather Hunters.'
Emmy-winning weatherman Roker will also voice a character in the series, which follows an 8-year-old weather detective whose father is the fun-loving weathercaster of a long-running national TV program (sound familiar?). Created by Genie Deez and Thy Than, the series follows the adventures of 6-year-old fraternal twins Phoebe and Jay Yarber, who live with their family in the fantastical Tobsy Towers. “’Phoebe & Jay’ beautifully blends fun and learning by introducing young viewers to the importance of everyday problem solving, literacy, and life skills in a way that’s relatable and engaging,” said Sara DeWitt, senior vice president and general manager of PBS Kids.
