Sheryl Crow Shares Empathetic New Single ‘I Know’ for Mental Health Awareness Month

Sheryl Crow dropped her new song "I Know" in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month.

On the tender ballad, the nine-time Grammy winner lays out the importance of empathy and connection as she sings, “But maybe I could hold your hand/ And count the teardrops as they flow/ And promise never to let go/ I see the struggle in your face/ The only thing that I can say/ Is I know/ I know/ I know how it feels,” over restrained guitars. The singer-songwriter, who recently served as a Mega Mentor on the just-concluded season 27 of The Voice, also opened up about the inspiration behind the song in a social media post on Wednesday (May 23). “Social media isn’t really great for anyone’s emotional well-being, so encouraging folks to [put] the phone down and enjoy nature, family and friends, music….I do that all the time, and I know how beneficial it is to take a break.”
