Sheryl Crow Sells Her Tesla and Donates Proceeds to NPR in Protest of Elon Musk

Sheryl Crow is selling her Tesla and donating the proceeds to NPR in response to Elon Musk’s push for government efficiency through DOGE.

Crow’s post received praise from fellow artists like Kacey Musgraves and Margo Price, who expressed their support in the comments. Trump-appointed Federal Communications Commission chairman Brendan Carr has launched an investigation into NPR and PBS member stations over concerns that their “broadcasts could be violating federal law by airing commercials.” Musk’s DOGE initiative is also working to reportedly “ delete entire agencies” in an effort to reduce government spending and jobs. Sheryl Crow performs in concert during the Noches del Botanico Festival at Real Jardín Botánico Alfonso XIII on June 25, 2024 in Madrid, Spain.
