Sheng Wang Sets Netflix Comedy Special Directed by Ali Wong (EXCLUSIVE)
Sheng Wang is returning to Netflix with a new comedy special directed by Ali Wong, due in 2026.
Earlier this year, Wong won a Golden Globe for her comedy special “Single Lady,” which debuted on Netflix in October. As an actor, Wong won the Emmy, Golden Globe, Critics Choice and SAG Award for best actress in a limited series for her portrayal of Amy Lau on Netflix and A24’s “Beef,” in which she starred opposite Steven Yeun. Wang’s upcoming hour will join recent additions to Netflix’s comedy slate, including Gabriel Iglesias’ “Legend of Fluffy,” Ari Shaffir’s “America’s Sweetheart,” Liza Treyger’s “Night Owl,” Andrew Schulz’s “Life,” Chelsea Handler’s “The Feeling,” Felipe Esparza’s “Raging Fool,” Rosebud Baker’s “The Mother Lode,” Tim Dillon’s “I’m Your Mother,” Tony Hinchcliffe’s “Kill or Be Killed” and Bert Kreischer’s “Lucky.”
