Shelley Duvall Stood Out

Decades after its release in 1980, The Shining became the focus of an online civil war between movie buffs over whether Kubrick’s relentless, repetitive production methods and attempts to keep Duvall psychologically unbalanced throughout the 500-day shoot constituted sexism and workplace abuse.
