She's best known for playing a ditzy but fearless flight attendant in a 1980 cult comedy film - can you guess who it is?

Her 1980 breakout role in what's considered one of the funniest parody films of all time helped launch her career as a beloved comedy actress in the 80s and 90s.

The cult classic, starring Robert Hays, saw her show off her acting chops and impeccable comedic timing as naïve but fearless flight attendant Elaine Dickinson, a part she would reprise in the sequel two years later following the movie's success. From then on, her unique, offbeat charm would continue to captivate audiences through her portrayal of quirky, endearing characters in subsequent comedy films such as 1985's Lost in America and What about Bob? Speaking to Closer Weekly in 2019, she revealed she was living in a tiny apartment with a friend and had been working odd jobs to make ends meet as she waited for Airplane's release.
