Fast forward ten years, and Sharon took the proactive step of undergoing a double mastectomy when she discovered she carried genes that made breast cancer a likely threat in 2012. On December 19, the star updated her Instagram followers, announcing she was back home and "doing great" after collapsing at the Glen Tavern Inn in Santa Paula, California, during the filming of "Night of Terror", reports the Express. The surgery coincided with a year full of personal milestones, marked by granddaughter Pearl's arrival and son Jack's battle with a multiple sclerosis diagnosis.
