Sportscaster Kenny Smith briefly mentioned Jay-Z on ‘Inside the NBA’ after he was named in a civil lawsuit accusing him of rape alongside Diddy

Jay-Z was recently named in a civil lawsuit, in which an anonymous plaintiff accused the Roc Nation founder and Sean “Diddy” Combs of rape in 2000 at an MTV awards show afterparty. “My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people,” Jay-Z continued. “Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children and working to uplift the Black community.
