Shane MacGowan's widow Victoria Mary Clarke says she is a 'blubbering mess' ahead of Valentine's Day as she shares heartfelt tribute


Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter , Victoria Mary Clarke revealed that she has been finding it difficult to cope with her husband's death ahead of her first Valentine's Day alone.

Sharing an emotional tribute of the star singing Victoria's name and humming along to his own tune, she penned: 'I feel like an absolute blubbering wreck today and it’s not even Valentine’s yet!' The late Pogues hitmaker had been battling viral encephalitis and was released from hospital in Dublin shortly before passing away on November 30 aged of 65 (pictured with Victoria) Sharing a snap of Shane with the instrument, Victoria wrote: 'I haven’t played my guitar since @shanemacgowanofficial died but last night while I was trying to watch TV I kept getting nudges from him to open the drawer of his desk.
